- 1
Combine Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well using your hands or a wooden spoon until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- 2
Form Meatballs
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Add Tomatoes and Seasoning
Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cook Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the chilled meatballs on the middle rack for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.

Combine with Sauce
Once the meatballs are done, add them to the simmering marinara sauce and let them cook together for an additional 5-10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
