Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

1

Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

2

Form Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

3

Preheat Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little oil to prevent sticking.

4

Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assemble the Burger

5

Prepare Toppings

While the patties are cooking, wash the lettuce leaves and slice the tomato into rounds.

6

Toast the Buns

Optionally, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

7

Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty. Top with tomato slices, pickles, and any desired condiments (ketchup and mustard).

8

Finish and Serve

Place the top half of the bun on the assembled burger. Serve immediately with fries or your choice of side.
