Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing while cooking.
Cooking the Bacon and Burger

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

In the same skillet, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
