Main Ingredients

Marinade for Salmon

Lemon Butter Sauce

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Salmon

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together well.

  2. 2

    Prepare Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the fillets are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare Asparagus

Trim the tough ends off the asparagus and rinse under cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  2. 5

    Grill the Asparagus

While the salmon is grilling, toss the asparagus with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper. Add the asparagus to the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally until tender and slightly charred.

Lemon Butter Sauce

  1. 6

    Make the Sauce

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat and add chopped parsley.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Once the salmon and asparagus are cooked, plate them together. Drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the salmon and serve immediately.
