Cooking Pasta

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring water to a rolling boil. Add salt to the water.

Cook Fettuccine
Add the fettuccine pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
Grilling Chicken

Prepare Chicken
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

Heat Olive Oil
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.

Grill Chicken
Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Slice Chicken
Remove chicken from the skillet, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice into strips.
Making Alfredo Sauce

Add Cream and Cheese
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

Season Sauce
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
Combining Everything

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat evenly.

Plate the pasta and top with sliced grilled chicken. Garnish with chopped parsley.
