Preparing the Bread

Slice the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Brush with Olive Oil
Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush each side lightly with olive oil.

Toast the Bread
Toast the bread in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Preparing the Topping

Chop the Tomatoes
While the bread is toasting, wash and dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces.

Prepare the Basil
Rinse the fresh basil leaves, pat them dry, and chop them roughly.

Dice the Mozzarella
Cut the mozzarella cheese into small cubes, similar in size to the tomatoes.

Mix the Topping
In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, mozzarella cubes, minced garlic, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Stir gently until well mixed.
Assembling the Bruschetta

Top the Bread
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato mixture generously on top of each slice.

Arrange the topped bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately, garnished with extra basil if desired.
