Method

Preparation of Topping

1

Chop the Tomatoes

Dice the ripe tomatoes into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.

2

Prepare the Basil

Stack the fresh basil leaves, roll them tightly, and slice them into thin strips (chiffonade). Add to the bowl with tomatoes.

3

Add Garlic

Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the mixing bowl with tomatoes and basil.

4

Season the Mixture

Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the tomato mixture, add salt, and black pepper to taste. Gently toss the ingredients together until well combined.

Preparing the Bread

5

Slice the Baguette

Cut the French baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices diagonally.

6

Grill the Bread

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Brush both sides of the bread slices with olive oil. Grill the bread slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden and crispy.

Assembling the Bruschetta

7

Top the Bread

Once the bread is grilled, remove it from the heat. Spoon the tomato and basil mixture generously on top of each slice.

8

Serve Immediately

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately while the bread is still warm.
