Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
- 3
Mix Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, stirring continuously until fully combined.
- 5
Add Dry Ingredients
Sift the all-purpose flour and salt into the chocolate mixture, folding gently until just combined. Do not over mix.
- 6
Fill Ramekins
Pour the batter into the prepared ramekins, filling them about 3/4 full.
- 7
Bake
Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is soft.
- 8
Cool and Serve
Allow the cakes to cool for 1 minute before carefully inverting them onto plates. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream on top.
