Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the hickory-smoked bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and let drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Cook the Beef Patty

In the same skillet, cook the USDA premium beef patty to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side. Place a slice of swiss cheese on top during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Sourdough Bread

In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic and parmesan cheese. Spread the mixture on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.

  4. 4

    Grill the Bread

In a clean skillet, grill the sourdough bread garlic-side down until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the grilled side of one slice of sourdough, layer the lettuce, beef patty with melted cheese, bacon, avocado (sliced), tomatoes, red onions, pickles, and thousand island dressing. Top with the other slice of sourdough, grilled side down.

  6. 6

    Serve

Cut the burger in half and serve immediately with your favorite side.
