Quiche Ingredients
Quiche Preparation
1. Prepare the Pie Crust
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). If using a store-bought pie crust, place it in a 9-inch pie dish and prick the bottom with a fork. If making your own, roll it out and fit it into the dish.
2. Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet, crumble, and set aside.
3. Whisk the Filling
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
4. Assemble the Quiche
Spread the hickory-smoked ham, crumbled bacon, aged parmesan, and swiss cheese evenly over the pie crust. Pour the egg mixture over the top.
5. Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top. A knife inserted in the center should come out clean.
6. Cool and Serve
Allow the quiche to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
