Hummus and Crudités
Method
Preparation
- 1
Roast the Garlic
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wrap the garlic cloves in aluminum foil with a drizzle of olive oil. Roast for about 30 minutes or until soft. Allow to cool, then squeeze out the garlic from the skins.
- 2
Prepare the Hummus
In a food processor, combine the canned chickpeas, tahini, roasted garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, ground cumin, and salt. Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a little water to reach your desired consistency.
- 3
Prepare the Vegetables
Wash and cut the fresh vegetables into sticks or bite-sized pieces. Arrange them on a serving platter.
- 4
Make Crostinis
Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices. Brush with olive oil and place on a baking sheet. Bake in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 10 minutes or until golden and crispy.
