Classic Tiramisu Directions
- 1
Prepare the Espresso
Brew the espresso and allow it to cool down to room temperature.
- 2
Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- 3
Mix Mascarpone and Sugar
In another bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
- 5
Soak the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- 6
Layer the Tiramisu
In a rectangular dish, arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers. Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining cream.
- 7
Chill
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- 8
Serve the Tiramisu
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings.
