Method
Falafel Preparation
- 1
Blend the Ingredients
In a food processor, combine chickpeas, parsley, cilantro, garlic, cumin, coriander, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until a coarse mixture forms.
- 2
Add Flour
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the all-purpose flour until well combined. If the mixture is too wet, add a bit more flour.
- 3
Form Balls
Shape the mixture into small balls or patties, about 1 inch in diameter.
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add falafel balls in batches.
- 5
Fry the Falafel
Fry the falafel for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Wrap Assembly
- 6
Prepare Vegetables
Chop the lettuce, tomato, and cucumber into small pieces.
- 7
Assemble the Wrap
Place 2-3 falafel balls in the center of each pita bread. Top with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and drizzle tahini sauce over the top.
- 8
Wrap and Serve
Fold the pita bread over the filling and serve immediately.
