Cooking Instructions

1. Prepare the Pork Belly

Roll the pork belly tightly and tie it with kitchen twine at regular intervals.

2. Sear the Pork

In a large pot, sear the rolled pork belly on all sides until browned.

3. Make the Braising Liquid

In the same pot, add soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, water, sliced ginger, and chopped green onions.

4. Braise the Pork

Place the seared pork belly back in the pot, ensuring it's submerged in the braising liquid. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2-3 hours.

5. Cool and Slice

Once tender, remove the pork from the pot and let it cool. Then slice thinly and serve with ramen or as desired.
