Steak and Fries

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Start by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips.

  2. 2

    Season the Fries

In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Bake the Fries

Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

While the fries are baking, season the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  5. 5

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks.

  6. 6

    Sear the Steak

Cook the steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness.

  7. 7

    Add Butter

In the last minute of cooking, add the butter to the pan and spoon the melted butter over the steaks for added flavor.

  8. 8

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  9. 9

    Serve

Serve the sliced steak alongside the crispy fries, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
