Prepare the nut filling
In a food processor, combine pistachios, walnuts, and ground cinnamon. Pulse until finely chopped. Set aside.

Assemble the baklava
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Layer half of the filo dough in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, brushing each layer with melted butter. Spread the nut mixture evenly over the top. Layer the remaining filo dough on top, brushing each layer with melted butter.

Cut and bake
Using a sharp knife, cut the baklava into diamond or square shapes. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.

Add syrup
Once baked, remove from the oven and immediately pour the cooled syrup evenly over the hot baklava. Allow to cool completely before serving.
