Method
Preparation
Prepare the Turkey
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Rub the turkey with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place in a roasting pan.
Make the Stuffing
In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, chopped celery, chopped onion, sage, thyme, and melted butter. Add chicken broth gradually until moistened. Stuff the turkey with the mixture and place any leftover stuffing in a separate baking dish.
Cooking
Roast the Turkey
Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for about 13-15 minutes per pound, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste occasionally with turkey drippings.
Prepare the Salad
In a large bowl, combine chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced cucumber, and grated carrots. Drizzle with olive oil and vinegar, then season with salt and pepper.
Serving
Plate the Dinner
Serve slices of turkey with stuffing on the side, accompanied by mashed potatoes, gravy, mixed vegetables, garden salad, and cranberry sauce.
