Prepare the tomatoes
Wash the tomatoes, remove the stems, and chop them into small pieces. Place them in a mixing bowl.

Add garlic and seasonings
Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Add the minced garlic, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper to the chopped tomatoes in the mixing bowl. Stir well to combine.

Prepare the basil
Wash the basil leaves, pat them dry, and chop them roughly. Add the chopped basil to the tomato mixture and stir to incorporate.
Toast the bread

Slice the baguette
Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Toast the bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown.
Assemble the Bruschetta

Top the toasted bread
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Top each slice with a generous spoonful of the tomato and basil mixture.
