Cooking Directions
- 1
Prepare the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood-smoked bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside on paper towels to drain excess grease.
- 2
Form the Patties
In a mixing bowl, shape the ground beef into two equal-sized patties, pressing them into 1-inch thickness. Season both sides with salt and pepper to taste.
- 3
Cook the Patties
In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty to melt.
- 4
Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns in another skillet or under the broiler until golden brown.
- 5
Assemble the Burger
Spread BBQ aioli on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top, followed by the cheeseburger patty, crispy bacon, and then the top half of the bun.
