Toscana Pizza Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pizza Dough

If using homemade dough, let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes. If using store-bought, follow package instructions for thawing.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 250°C (482°F) or as high as it can go. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.

  3. 3

    Shape the Pizza

On a floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch round. Transfer to a pizza peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Pizza

Spread the San Marzano tomato sauce evenly over the dough. Tear the fresh mozzarella into pieces and distribute it on top. Add the grape tomatoes, halved.

  5. 5

    Bake the Pizza

Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven or onto the pizza stone. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.

  6. 6

    Add Toppings

Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven. Top with arugula, slices of prosciutto di Parma, and shavings of Pecorino and Gran Cru cheese. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the pizza and serve immediately, enjoying the fresh toppings and flavors.
