Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Meat Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent. Add the ground beef and pork, cooking until browned. Stir in the San Marzano tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 20 minutes, then stir in the fresh basil.
- 2
Prepare the Cheese Mixture
In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, crumbled Gorgonzola, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.
- 3
Assemble the Lasagna
In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Place 3 lasagna sheets over the sauce. Spread a layer of the cheese mixture, followed by another layer of meat sauce. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of meat sauce topped with remaining shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan.
- 4
Bake the Lasagna
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Cover the lasagna with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Serve
Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
