Tiramisu Ingredients

Method

Tiramisu Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Espresso

Brew the espresso and let it cool to room temperature. If desired, stir in the coffee liqueur.

  2. 2

    Make the Mascarpone Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream. Whip until smooth and creamy.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Tiramisu

Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso for about 2 seconds, making sure not to soak them. Layer them in a rectangular dish, then spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.

  4. 4

    Chill and Serve

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.
