Cooking the Sauce

Sauté Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.

Add Garlic and Meat
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. Add the ground beef and pork, cooking until browned.

Incorporate Tomatoes and Wine
Pour in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and red wine. Stir well to combine.

Season the Sauce
Add salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil. Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cooking the Pasta

Boil the Linguini
While the sauce simmers, cook the linguini in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Combining and Serving

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Once the sauce is ready, add the drained linguini to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.

Prepare Topping
In a small pan, toast the breadcrumbs over low heat until golden. Remove from heat.

Plate the pasta, then top with shaved Parmesan, toasted breadcrumbs, and chopped parsley. Enjoy!
