Wrap Assembly
Method
Falafel Preparation
- 1
Make the Falafel Mixture
In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until a coarse mixture forms. If it’s too wet, add a little flour.
- 2
Shape the Falafel
Form the mixture into small balls or patties, about 1-2 inches in diameter.
- 3
Fry the Falafel
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry the falafel until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.
Wrap Assembly
- 4
Prepare the Wrap
Lay a tortilla or pita bread flat. Spread hummus and tzatziki sauce on the base.
- 5
Add Fillings
Layer falafel, sliced tomatoes, onions, cucumber, bean sprouts, banana peppers, and tabbouleh on top of the spread.
- 6
Roll the Wrap
Fold the sides of the tortilla or pita over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom.
- 7
Serve
Cut the wrap in half, if desired, and serve with additional tzatziki or hummus on the side.
