Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into large strips (about 2 inches wide).
- 2
Marinate
In a bowl, combine the chicken strips with buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
- 3
Prepare the Coating
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 4
- 5
Coat the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. First, dip each piece into the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture, pressing lightly to ensure it adheres.
- 6
- 7
Fry the Chicken
Carefully add the coated chicken tenders to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 8
Serve
Serve the jumbo chicken tenders hot with your choice of dipping sauces.
