Preparing the Coffee Mixture

  1. 1

    Brew Espresso

Brew 1 cup of strong espresso coffee and let it cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Mix Coffee with Liqueur

In a shallow dish, combine the brewed espresso with 1 tablespoon of coffee liqueur. Set aside.

Making the Filling

  1. 3

    Separate Eggs

Separate the egg yolks and whites into two separate bowls.

  2. 4

    Whisk Egg Yolks

In the bowl with the egg yolks, add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and whisk until pale and creamy.

  3. 5

    Add Mascarpone

Add 16 oz of mascarpone cheese to the egg yolk mixture and mix until smooth and well combined.

  4. 6

    Whip Egg Whites

In the second bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.

  5. 7

    Combine Mixtures

Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the mascarpone mixture until no white streaks remain.

  6. 8

    Whip Heavy Cream

In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until medium peaks form.

  7. 9

    Combine Cream

Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.

  8. 10

    Add Vanilla

Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract for added flavor.

Assembling the Tiramisu

  1. 11

    Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

  2. 12

    Layer Ladyfingers

Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.

  3. 13

    Spread Filling

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of ladyfingers.

  4. 14

    Repeat Layers

Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture on top.

  5. 15

    Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
