Method

Preparing the Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Patty

  1. 3

    Heat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cover to melt the cheese.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese. Add a slice of tomato on top.

  3. 8

    Finish with Condiments

Spread ketchup and mustard on the top half of the bun, then place it on top of the assembled burger.
