Method
Preparing the Burger Patty
- 1
Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about 1 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
Cooking the Burger
- 3
Preheat the Grill or Pan
Preheat your grill or a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat.
- 4
- 5
Add Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese.
Assembling the Burger
- 6
Prepare the Buns
Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 7
Layer the Ingredients
On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a slice of tomato. Add the cooked beef patty with melted cheese on top.
- 8
Add the Sauce
Drizzle the special sauce over the cheese-covered patty and top with the other half of the bun.
