Ingredients for Schnitzel
Method
Instructions for Preparing Schnitzel
- 1
Prepare the Chicken or Pork
Pound the meat to about 1/4 inch thickness using a meat mallet. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow dishes, place the flour in one, beaten eggs in the second, and bread crumbs in the third.
- 3
Bread the Meat
Dredge each piece of meat in flour, shaking off excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, letting excess drip off, then coat thoroughly in bread crumbs.
- 4
Fry the Schnitzels
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded schnitzels in batches. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
