Beef and Marinade

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Place the plank steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F or 230°C). If using a wooden plank, soak it in water for at least 1 hour before grilling to prevent burning.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Place the steak on the grill (or on the soaked plank if using). Grill for about 6-8 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time based on your preferred doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest and Serve

Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. Slice against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
