Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the French Toast
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
- 2
Soak the Bread
Dip each slice of thick bread into the egg mixture, allowing them to soak for a few seconds on each side.
- 3
Cook the French Toast
In a large skillet or griddle, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the soaked bread slices and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and keep warm.
- 4
Cook the Braised Bacon
In the same skillet, add the braised bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Assemble the Dish
On each slice of French toast, layer a slice of American cheese, followed by 2 slices of bacon, and another slice of French toast. Top with a fried egg (cooked to your preference) and drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
