Cooking Instructions
Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Increase the heat to medium-high, add the ground beef and pork, and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
Pour in the red wine and let it simmer until mostly evaporated, about 3-4 minutes.
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cook the Spaghetti
While the sauce is simmering, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
Combine and Serve
Add the drained spaghetti to the sauce and toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
