Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Peel the garlic cloves and place them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and roast in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and soft.

  2. 2

    Blanch the Broccoli

While the garlic is roasting, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and blanch for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Broccoli

In a large skillet, heat the remaining 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the blanched broccoli and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until heated through and slightly browned.

  4. 4

    Combine and Serve

Once the garlic is roasted, remove it from the oven and mash it with a fork. Add the roasted garlic to the skillet with the broccoli, along with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Toss everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Serve hot.
