Wings
Buffalo Sauce
Method
Preparing the Wings
- 1
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and baking powder. Toss well to coat the wings evenly.
- 2
Preheat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 375°F (190°C).
- 3
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the seasoned wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the wings to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Making the Buffalo Sauce
- 4
Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- 5
Combine Ingredients
Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in the hot sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and honey (if using) until smooth.
Tossing the Wings
- 6
Toss the Wings in Sauce
In a large bowl, add the fried wings and pour the buffalo sauce over them. Toss well to ensure all wings are coated evenly with the sauce.
- 7
Serve
Serve the buffalo wings immediately with your choice of dipping sauce and celery sticks on the side.
