Burger Ingredients

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Caramelize the Onions

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Slice the onion and add it to the skillet, stirring occasionally. Cook for about 15-20 minutes until the onion is soft and caramelized. Sprinkle with sugar, salt, and pepper, then set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In the same skillet, add the bacon slices and cook until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into two patties.

  4. 4

    Cook the Patties

In the skillet, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Spread the spicy remoulade on the bottom half of the toasted burger buns. Place the cooked patties with melted cheese on top, followed by the crispy bacon, caramelized onions, and house-made pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the burgers hot with your favorite side.
