Pizza Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up as well.
- 2
Prepare the Dough
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness, typically around 12 inches in diameter. Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza peel or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Add the Pesto
Spread the pesto sauce evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- 4
Layer the Toppings
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the pesto, then layer the prosciutto slices on top.
- 5
Add the Eggs
Create small wells in the cheese and prosciutto layers and crack the farm-fresh eggs into these wells.
- 6
Season and Drizzle
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil over the top.
- 7
Bake the Pizza
Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or onto the hot pizza stone) and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the eggs are cooked to your liking.
- 8
Finish with Arugula
Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and top with fresh arugula. Allow it to cool for a minute before slicing.
- 9
Serve
Slice the pizza and serve hot, enjoying the combination of flavors.
