Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a bowl, combine the Black Angus beef with salt and black pepper. Form into 4 equal patties.

  2. 2

    Grill the Patties

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. In the last minute of grilling, place a slice of New York white cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Applewood smoked bacon until crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  4. 4

    Toast the Rolls

Lightly toast the Challah rolls on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted Challah roll, place a grilled patty topped with barbecue sauce, crispy bacon, and onion straws. Cover with the top half of the roll.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve hot with additional barbecue sauce on the side if desired.
