Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bourbon Soaked Cherries

In a small bowl, combine dried cherries and bourbon. Let them soak for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Goat Cheese

Form the goat cheese into small rounds, about 1 inch in diameter. Roll each round in sesame seeds to coat evenly.

  3. 3

    Fry the Goat Cheese

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sesame crusted goat cheese rounds and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Make the Fresh Herb Vinaigrette

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, honey, and chopped fresh herbs. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Salad

On a large plate, arrange the organic mixed greens. Top with fried goat cheese rounds, chopped walnuts, and bourbon-soaked cherries. Drizzle with fresh herb vinaigrette before serving.
