Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Veal

Season the veal cutlets with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow dishes, place the flour, beaten eggs, and bread crumbs.

Breading and Cooking

  1. 3

    Bread the Veal

Dredge each veal cutlet in flour, shaking off the excess, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with bread crumbs.

  2. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  3. 5

    Cook the Veal

Add the breaded veal cutlets to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.

Assembly and Baking

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

While the veal is cooking, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

In a baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom. Place the cooked veal cutlets on top, then cover with the remaining marinara sauce.

  3. 8

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.

  4. 9

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnishing and Serving

  1. 10

    Garnish

Remove from oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves.

  2. 11

    Serve

Serve hot, ideally with a side of pasta or a fresh salad.
