Method

Cooking the Pasta

    Boil Water

    In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.

    Cook Pasta

    Add 8 cups of pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Preparing the Vegetables

    Chop Vegetables

    While the pasta is cooking, chop the bell peppers, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, carrots, and broccoli into bite-sized pieces.

Making the Sauce

    Heat Olive Oil

    In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.

    Sauté Garlic

    Add 3 cloves of minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

    Add Crushed Tomatoes

    Pour in 28 ounces of canned crushed tomatoes, stirring to combine.

    Season the Sauce

    Add 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to taste. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes.

Combining Pasta and Vegetables

    Add Vegetables

    Stir in the chopped vegetables into the tomato sauce and cook for an additional 5 minutes until tender.

    Combine with Pasta

    Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss everything together gently to combine.

    Stir in 1 cup of chopped fresh basil, mixing well.

Serving

    Serve the pasta primavera hot, garnished with 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese on top.
