Oyster Shucking Instructions

Prepare the Shucking Station
Set up a clean table with a cutting board, oyster knife, and a bowl for oyster shells. Ensure that the area is well-lit and comfortable.

Chill the Oysters
Place the oysters in a bowl and cover them with ice to keep them fresh and cold until ready to shuck.

Shucking the Oysters
Using an oyster knife, carefully insert the knife into the hinge of the oyster. Twist the knife to pop the shell open and slide the knife along the top shell to detach the meat. Remove the top shell and discard it.

Clean Up
Dispose of the oyster shells in a designated compostable container and clean the shucking area.
