Marinade and Sauce

Method

Preparation and Cooking

1

Marinate the Beef

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, black pepper, and chili flakes. Add the sliced beef sirloin and ensure it is well coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

2

Prepare the Grill

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, make sure the coals are glowing red.

3

Grill the Beef

Remove the beef from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place the beef on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached. Avoid overcrowding the grill.

4

Make the Sweet & Sour Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine sweet chili sauce and water. Heat over low heat, stirring until well mixed. Add extra lime juice for added flavor.

5

Serve

Remove the grilled beef from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice into strips and serve with the sweet & sour sauce on the side, garnished with extra lime juice if desired.
