Cider Ingredients

Method

Brewing Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Apples

Wash and crush the cider apples to extract the juice. Use a fruit press if available.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a fermentation vessel, combine the apple juice and water. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.

  3. 3

    Add Yeast and Campden Tablets

Crush the Campden tablets and add them to the mixture. Let it sit for 24 hours. Afterward, sprinkle the yeast over the mixture.

  4. 4

    Fermentation

Seal the fermentation vessel with an airlock and let it ferment in a cool, dark place for about 1 to 2 weeks or until bubbling stops.

  5. 5

    Dry Hopping

Add the dry hopping blend to the fermentation vessel and let it sit for an additional 3 to 5 days.

  6. 6

    Bottling

Once fermentation is complete, siphon the cider into clean bottles, leaving some space at the top. Seal the bottles with caps.

  7. 7

    Aging

Let the cider age in a cool, dark place for at least 2 weeks to allow flavors to develop before consuming.
