Ingredients for La Mesa Dip

Method

Directions for Preparing La Mesa Dip

1

Cook the Protein

If using ground beef or chorizo, cook in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat. If using beans, drain and rinse them.

2

Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, cooked meat or beans, salsa, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.

3

Combine and Heat

Stir the mixture until well combined. Transfer to an oven-safe dish.

4

Bake the Dip

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the dip for about 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

5

Serve

Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.
