Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the clams

Rinse the Manila clams under cold water and scrub the shells to remove any grit. Soak them in salted water for about 30 minutes to help expel any sand.

2

Sauté garlic

In a large pot or skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

3

Add clams and wine

Add the rinsed clams to the pot, followed by the Vino Verde. Stir gently to combine.

4

Cook the clams

Cover the pot and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the clams open up. Discard any clams that do not open.

5

Finish the dish

Once the clams are cooked, add the chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top before serving.
