Tiramisu Directions
- 1
Prepare the coffee
Brew 1 cup of strong espresso or coffee and let it cool. If using coffee liqueur, mix it in once cooled.
- 2
Whip the cream
In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- 3
Mix mascarpone
In another bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- 4
Combine mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
- 5
Dip ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- 6
Layer the tiramisu
In a rectangular dish, arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone mixture. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone mixture on top.
- 7
Chill
Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- 8
Serve
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder. Slice and enjoy your homemade tiramisu!
