Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Pork
In a slow cooker, place the pork shoulder. Pour the orange juice and lime juice over the meat.
Add Seasoning
Add minced garlic, chopped onion, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Mix well to coat the pork.
Cook the Pork
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
Shred the Meat
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded meat back to the cooker to absorb the juices.
Serve
Serve the carnitas with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, guacamole, Spanish rice, refried beans, and flour tortillas on the side.
