Churros

Method

Churros

  1. 1

    Prepare the Churro Dough

In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms. Allow to cool slightly before adding eggs, one at a time, mixing until combined.

  2. 2

    Fill the Churros

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe 4-6 inch strips onto parchment paper. Use a small piping tip to fill each churro with raspberry jam.

  3. 3

    Fry the Churros

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 375°F (190°C). Fry each churro until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Coat the Churros

In a shallow bowl, mix together cinnamon and powdered sugar. Roll the fried churros in the mixture until fully coated.
