Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Cream Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- 2
Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
- 3
Prepare the Coffee Mixture
In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso coffee and coffee liqueur (if using).
- 4
Assemble the Tiramisu
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, allowing them to soak for just a second. Layer them in the bottom of a serving dish.
- 5
Layer the Cream
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
- 6
Chill and Serve
Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
