Method
Miso Soup Directions
- 1
Prepare the Dashi
In a pot, bring 4 cups of dashi to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- 2
Add Tofu and Seaweed
Carefully add the cubed tofu and rehydrated seaweed to the pot. Simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
- 3
Mix Miso Paste
In a small bowl, mix the miso paste with a ladleful of hot dashi until smooth. This helps prevent clumps in the soup.
- 4
Combine Miso with Soup
Reduce the heat to low and stir the miso mixture back into the pot. Be careful not to boil the soup after adding miso.
- 5
Season the Soup
Taste the soup and add soy sauce and salt as needed for flavor.
- 6
Serve
Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot.
